The project aimed at the rehabilitation, conservation, and seismic retroffiting of the church from the XVI century. The church is on the list of historical monuments in Vâlcea county with the code VL-II-m-A-09922.
The structural retrofitting solution recommended by the technical expertise involved:

• Strengthening the foundation system through underpinning to ensure the frost depth;
• Execution of reinforced concrete belts at the foundation level and above the masonry walls;
• Installation of steel rods in vertical and horizontal drilled holes to improve the behavior of the unconfined masonry structure.
